    Maintenance Manager (Tech Lead)

    Intermediate (3 - 5 yrs)

    This role

    The client is looking for a Maintenanc/Tech Lead to improve the technical availability, reliability and condition of its production lines in Zaandam, the Netherlands.

    Reporting to the Reliability Engineer, the successful candidate will work with Line Leads, operators, technicians and maintenance planners to improve equipment performance. They will analyse breakdowns, develop maintenance strategies, train colleagues and contribute to technical projects and investments.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Maintenance & Reliability

    • Develop, implement and optimise maintenance programmes and plans.

    • Define maintenance intervals and standards.

    • Analyse equipment trends, performance and breakdowns.

    • Manage asset lifecycles and monitor production line availability and reliability.

    • Support maintenance budget execution alongside the Line Lead and Reliability Engineer.

    Continuous Improvement

    • Analyse technical KPIs and breakdown data, and conduct Root Cause Analyses (RCA).

    • Improve work processes and maintenance procedures.

    • Apply new technical developments to improve efficiency, availability and reliability.

    Training & Support

    • Coordinate maintenance activities with planners and technicians.

    • Train operators and technicians in preventive and autonomous maintenance.

    • Facilitate RCA sessions, knowledge sharing and collaboration between Operations and Maintenance.

    Projects

    • Establish technical maintenance standards and deliver performance improvement projects.

    • Integrate new installations into existing maintenance plans.

    • Review and manage project spare parts lists.

    Documentation & Reporting

    • Prepare maintenance instructions, procedures, technical reports and analyses.

    • Evaluate the effectiveness of preventive maintenance.

    • Contribute to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

    Function criteria

    • Technical knowledge and practical capability at Dutch MBO level 4, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Industrial Automation.

    • Technical maintenance experience within a production environment.

    • Knowledge of continuous improvement, maintenance methodologies and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).

    • Experience with maintenance management systems, such as Coswin.

    • Knowledge of HACCP, safety requirements and hygiene regulations.

    • VCA-VOL certification or willingness to obtain it.

    • Good command of Dutch and English.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

    • Strong analytical, planning and organisational skills.

    • A proactive, results-driven and quality-conscious approach.

    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to encourage collaboration.
