Manager Network Automation

As Manager Network Automation, the successful candidate will lead the strategy, development, and operation of the network automation domain. You will be responsible for the end-to-end performance of all automation solutions that keep the NT network stable, scalable, and smart.

Together with the Product Owner, you'll work on the team’s roadmap and ensure that it is perfectly executed within scope, budget, and ambition. You will lead a team of 10+ talented professionals – coaching, inspiring, and developing them both technically and personally – while shaping the future of network automation. Lastly, closely following market developments and, together with the Product Owner and Lead Designer, translate innovations into a future-oriented strategy. Whether it concerns AI-driven automation, cloud-native architectures, or optimising CI/CD pipelines, you will ensure our clients' network is ready for the future.

The main responsibilities include:

• Managing a complex application landscape with a compact but powerful team.

• Collaborating with multiple stakeholders within and outside the NT cluster.

• Managing the phasing out of legacy applications and the consolidation of automation platforms.

• Creating a single uniform development standard based on a modern C#/.NET environment.

• Anticipating market trends and translating them into technical choices and innovations.

• Leveraging the power of AI and cloud-native solutions for smarter network operations.

• Ensuring a software architecture that is scalable, maintainable and future-proof.

• A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant technical field.

• 5+ years of experience in network automation, IT infrastructure or telecom environments.

• Strong technical knowledge of:

  • Network architecture and automation

  • IP networks, infrastructure and hosting environments

  • CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, Agile/Scrum and ITIL processes

  • Software engineering principles and tooling

• Experience in managing, coaching and developing professionals.

• Strategic thinking with a hands-on mentality.

• Excellent communication skills – able to switch between technical teams and management level.

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience with cloud-native applications and microservices architectures.

• Understanding of SRE principles (reliability, scalability, observability).

• Certifications such as ITIL, AWS/Azure or SRE are an advantage.

• Affinity with AI-driven automation and digital operations platforms.
