    Manager Engineering Digital (Front-end)

    For their new Engineering Digital teams, we are seeking an experienced Manager Engineering Digital (Front-end) to enhance their first new team of core and senior Software engineers. In this crucial role, you will not only lead our clients' front-end engineering team but also embody their core values of being Human, Forward-thinking, and Optimistic.     • Drive Innovation with a Forward-thinking Approach: Manage, together with the Principal Engineer Front-end, the full technological lifecycle from concept to delivery, focusing on cutting-edge front-end technologies to create scalable, high-performance digital solutions.

    • Champion Optimistic Solutions: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to make data-driven decisions and deliver initiatives with a positive, impactful outlook on departmental or company-wide levels.

    • Engage in Thought Leadership: Influence and manage complex stakeholder relationships while contributing to the broader engineering community through participation in speaking events, embodying our clients' optimistic and forward-looking perspective.

    Function criteria

    Some things you cannot learn at university; you possess them by nature. Your core personality is empathic, decisive, humorous, people-focused, authentic, and honest. You know the difference between managing and coaching, and understand when to apply which. You embrace challenges and are eager to grow. 

    Apply immediately if you have sufficient enthusiasm, ambition and recognize yourself in the following points:

    • More than 7 years of experience in engineering, specialising in front-end technologies for business-critical systems, including at least 2 years in an (informal) leadership role.

    • Demonstrated proficiency in large-scale application development (hundreds of thousands of requests per second) and experience with APIs.

    • Proven ability to develop technical talent and facilitate data-driven decisions.

    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage the full technology lifecycle.

    • Mastery of JavaScript-based front-end technologies, including Node.js, React, and more.

    • Extensive experience with browser APIs and cross-mobile platform development.
