You will do this as an experienced Application Engineer

• As an Application Engineer, your tasks are, on the one hand, to translate customer demand within the industry into functional and technical Automation solutions within the financial and project frameworks and, on the other hand, to help realize these as a lead.

• As an experienced application engineer, you are involved from the first sketch design to realization.

• You get the best out of yourself in everything you do. 

• Be a sparring partner with clients and partners in the design process

• Providing the necessary design documents for a thorough design. This includes functional designs, technical descriptions, operating manuals, etc.

• Collaborating, coordinating work and monitoring progress with your Automation colleagues in multidisciplinary project teams

• Searching for creative solutions and alternatives in the Automation domain

• Participating in the on-call service in which remote assistance is provided

We also ask you:

• HBO working and thinking level, obtained through a technical HBO education or relevant work experience

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar position

• Passion for the field of Software Engineering, and you are aware of the latest developments within Industrial Automation

• Consultancy skills within the Automation domain

• Experience with programming DCS/PLC systems and visualization packages

• Sufficient knowledge of IT

• Knowledge and experience with the Siemens industrial product line (perhaps certified) is advantageous.

• Communication skills: and you communicate easily in the Dutch and English languages, spoken and written
