Frontend Developer

Location: Rotterdam (hybrid working possible)

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented front-end developer to support the development and maintenance of both internal and external web applications and manage high-volume correspondence templates for our debtors. This role requires someone with a strong eye for design (UI/UX), excellent Dutch language skills, and a passion for building scalable, user-friendly digital solutions.

You will work on:

• Designing and maintaining letter templates used for generating over 10 million letters annually, using MS Word/RTF and a proprietary scripting language

• Developing and maintaining web applications, currently using multiple frameworks (HTML, JavaScript, Bootstrap, JQuery, React, Vue, and Angular), with a roadmap toward React

• Ensuring a seamless user experience across all platforms

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize frontend features for internal and external applications

• Maintain and enhance document templates in MS Word/RTF format

• Collaborate with designers and backend developers to implement responsive and user-friendly interfaces

• Contribute to the transition from legacy frontend frameworks to React

• Ensure compliance with legal requirements in application design and correspondence

Must-Have Skills:

• Fluent in Dutch (spoken and written)

• Strong experience in UI/UX design

• Experience with HTML, JavaScript, Bootstrap, JQuery

• Proficiency in React, Vue, and Angular

• Working knowledge of MySQL and MSSQL

• Familiarity with REST APIs and SOAP/XML

• Solid understanding of digital letter and website design principles

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Backend development experience in PHP, Python, NodeJS, C#, or Java

• Experience working with Windows, Linux, and macOS environments

• Familiarity with templating in MS Word/RTF and scripting in Basic-like languages
