Senior Cloud Engineer (Microsoft 365 / Azure)

About the Role

• As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, managing, and securing modern Microsoft cloud environments for both internal systems and client infrastructures.

• You will work extensively with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Microsoft Defender, Intune, and Azure, helping organizations build secure, scalable, and future-proof cloud solutions.

• This role combines technical expertise with strategic thinking. You will translate business requirements into robust cloud architectures while also mentoring Medior and Junior engineers and contributing to innovation within the team

​​​​​​​Responsibilities

• Cloud Architecture & Implementation: Design and implement advanced Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud architectures.

• Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient.

• Support cloud transformation projects including migrations and hybrid environments.

• Manage and optimize Azure environments, including: Networking, Identity management, Security, Automation

• Define and implement cloud security strategies.

• Manage Identity & Access Management (IAM) policies.

• Work with Microsoft Defender security tools.

• Perform security audits and ensure environments remain compliant with best practices.

• Develop automation scripts and tooling to streamline cloud deployment and management.

• Continuously improve cloud environments through automation and optimization.

• Troubleshooting & Incident Management

• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in cloud environments.

• Provide technical support during incidents and ensure minimal downtime.

• Mentor Medior and Junior Cloud Engineers.

• Share knowledge through documentation, training sessions, and best practices.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cloud Technology, IT Engineering, or a related field

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar cloud engineering role

• Strong experience with:

• Microsoft 365

• Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)

• Microsoft Defender

• Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune)

• Microsoft Azure

• Hybrid cloud environments

• Cloud architecture best practices

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate

• Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert

• Experience with automation scripting

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies

• Experience with ITIL4

• Experience with Autotask PSA, RMM, or IT Glue

• Strong communication skills

• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills

• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
