Senior Cloud Engineer (M365)

In this role, you will be the architect behind smart, secure, and future-proof Microsoft cloud environments. As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you translate complex challenges into practical solutions, act as a trusted advisor to clients, and mentor colleagues within the team.

You work hands-on, strategically, and innovatively, exactly the combination in which you excel.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement advanced Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud architectures, ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and cost optimization.

• Azure management: Proactively manage and optimize Azure services, including networking, security, automation, and identity management.

• Security and compliance: Define and implement security strategies for cloud environments, including identity & access management, threat detection, and incident response. This includes conducting regular security audits and keeping security protocols up to date.

• Automation and innovation: Develop automated solutions using scripting to streamline deployment and management processes.

• Troubleshooting: Quickly and effectively diagnose and resolve technical issues within cloud architectures, provide support during incidents, and minimize downtime.

• Mentoring and knowledge sharing: Actively contribute to the development of Medior and Junior Cloud Engineers through training, documentation, and coaching.

• A relevant degree in Computer Science, Cloud Technology, or a related discipline, with a strong focus on cloud and network technologies.

• Experience: At least 5 years in a similar role, with proven expertise in Microsoft 365, EntraID, Microsoft Defender for Business, Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune), and Azure.

• Technical skills: In-depth knowledge of cloud architectures and best practices. Experience with hybrid and multi-cloud solutions.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to quickly diagnose and resolve complex technical problems.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to non-technicalstakeholders.

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to shared goals, with a willingness to share knowledge and collaborate on solutions.

• Strong organizational skills, able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and perform in a dynamic environment.

Additional Qualifications

• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure AdministratorAssociate, or Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert are a plus.

• Experience with scripting for task and configuration automation.

• Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile is an advantage.

• Experience with ITIL4.

• Experience with Autotask PSA, RMM, and IT Glue (or comparable tools) is a plus.
