    Service Desk Engineer

    Intermediate (3 - 5 yrs)

    Based in Hilversum

    As an experienced Skilled Service Desk Employee within Managed Services, you play a crucial role in providing technical support to customers. You are on the front line helping users with technical questions and problems, performing analyses, monitoring systems, and contributing to improvements and projects. Your expertise ensures a seamless service experience for our customers. Ready to shine in this role?

    Depending on your knowledge and experience, you will contribute to:

    • Answering technical questions and resolving issues reported by customer users through various channels (phone, email, ticket system).

    • Analyzing and diagnosing hardware and software problems.

    • Performing root cause analyses to identify and resolve recurring issues.

    • Monitoring systems to proactively detect and resolve problems.

    • Performing regular checks and maintenance on systems.

    • Managing user accounts and access rights.

    • Keeping detailed documentation of incidents, solutions, and best practices.

    • Contributing to the knowledge base by documenting new issues and solutions.

    • Assisting with the implementation of new systems and applications.

    • Testing and validating new hardware and software solutions.

    • Supporting migration and upgrade projects.

    Function criteria

    • At least an MBO diploma (vocational qualification) in a relevant technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Network Management).

    • Preferably certifications such as ITIL Foundation, Microsoft 365.

    • At least 3 years of experience as a Support or Helpdesk employee supporting Windows and Apple-based systems and users.

    • Affinity with Security.

    • Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical ability.

    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

    • Customer-oriented and able to communicate effectively with clients.

    • A team player with the ability to work independently.

    • Accurate and precise, even under pressure.

    • And of course, you speak and write excellent Dutch, and your English is strong too.
