Project Engineer

As a Project Engineer E&I you are responsible for the management of several colleagues and the design of customer installations, where they use the latest technological developments and deliver total solutions in the various industrial markets, including Chemicals, Food & Pharma, Production and Energy. Our client takes take care of projects in maintenance, renovation, new construction, conversion, and migration. You will take care of the necessary hardware engineering, required for carrying out mechanic work. You also maintain good contacts with the customer and suppliers.

Some of your day-to-day responsibilities:

• Based on the customer's demand, you analyse the customer's installations and provide appropriate advice.

• You translate the customer's wishes into a concrete design with a good focus on feasibility and safety.

• Make your calculations, cost estimates, budgets, and material specifications.

• Create reports, reports, schedules and monitor budgets.

• You advise both internally and externally, know how to convince others, apply the latest techniques, and use your creativity to convert technical problems into feasible solutions.

• Based on the basic design, you are responsible for the detailed engineering of the hardware components of the installation.

• You are proactive and maintain constant consultation with the internal organization and the client during the application, design, and implementation phase.

• As a true technician, you are seen as a technical source of information throughout the entire life cycle, calculation, design, implementation, commissioning, and maintenance projects.

• You hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering

• You have experience with the independent design of installations, knowledge of basic engineering is an advantage.

• You have demonstrable experience in the technical supervision and engineering of the projects;

• You have experience working in AutoCAD and/or Eplan P8;

• Knowledge of electrotechnical standards and regulations is important, as is the ability to think systematically in the design of a work approach.

• You have knowledge of applicable standards and regulations, such as NEN 1010, NEN 3140

• Knowledge of applicable standards and regulations NEN, ATEX and SIL;

• You have an excellent command of Afrikaans and English.

• You are creative and analytically inclined, you have an affinity with structured design methodologies, systems engineering.

• You have good interpersonal skills and a customer-oriented approach.
