Our client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to keep its production equipment running reliably. Based in Zaandam, the role involves troubleshooting mechanical, electrical and control-system faults across a varied range of machinery.

The successful candidate will work a three-shift rotation, maintaining equipment and implementing improvements to reduce downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose breakdowns and identify their root causes.

• Inspect production lines and carry out maintenance.

• Follow approved procedures, using appropriate materials and methods.

• Ensure work is completed safely.

• Help operators develop their technical knowledge.

• Document completed work clearly.

• Propose and implement equipment and process improvements.

Our client is an established Dutch biscuit and chocolate manufacturer with roots in Zaandam dating back to 1886. Its products include well-known household brands sold throughout the Netherlands.

• At least 3–4 years’ breakdown maintenance experience, preferably in food manufacturing.

• Knowledge of PLCs and control systems.

• Understanding of HACCP, hygiene and safety requirements.

• Good Dutch and English proficiency.

• Proactive, eager to learn and results-focused.

• Clear communication skills and composure under pressure.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
