DevOps Engineer
This role
Our client believes that the best digital solutions are built from a deep understanding of domains, industries, business processes, customers, and stakeholders. That starts with the people behind the work.
As a DevOps Engineer, you will help build and further develop the development pipeline and cloud-native platforms within the Azure and Azure DevOps ecosystem that teams and clients rely on.
Digital sovereignty
Our client is moving towards digital sovereignty. You will work in demanding, often regulated environments, such as banking, where reliability is not optional but a requirement, driven by regulations such as GDPR, DORA and NIS2. Control across the full chain is becoming increasingly important:
Sovereign infrastructure: control over where and how workloads run, with a focus on data residency and reducing unwanted dependencies.
Sovereign data: data kept under the right level of control, with proper classification, encryption and governance.
Sovereign code: a traceable, secure software supply chain - from source code through to production.
You will help design and shape the platforms and development pipeline so that sovereignty is not an afterthought, but built in from the start.
AI-Native
You will do this in a world where AI plays an increasingly important role in how software is built, deployed and managed. You will increasingly work with solutions where AI plays a role, ensuring that AI-driven applications not only run but also remain reliable and manageable in production.
You will build and develop platforms on which AI models, services and, increasingly, AI agents and agentic workflows are deployed - systems that independently perform tasks and support decision-making. At the same time, you will use AI to make your own work smarter and more efficient. You will also contribute to how AI can be used responsibly within the development pipeline.
You will focus on:
Designing and managing scalable, cloud-native infrastructure on Azure using Infrastructure as Code, such as Bicep and Terraform.
Running and managing workloads in Kubernetes (specifically AKS) and containerising applications with Docker.
Building and further developing the development pipeline: standardised CI/CD pipelines, golden paths and self-service capabilities that allow teams to deliver quickly and securely.
Setting up observability, including logging, metrics and tracing, and monitoring reliability and performance.
Applying security across multiple layers.
Our client is ISO 27001, ISO 9001, and SOC 2 Type II certified. For banking clients, the organisation works with zero-trust, least-privilege, firewalling and strict compliance requirements. Security is not an afterthought, but a design principle.
Company profile
Our client is a Dutch digital solutions company that helps organisations design, build and improve smart, scalable digital products. Their work combines UX, software development, cloud, DevOps, data and AI, with a strong focus on quality, security and long-term value.
They work in multidisciplinary teams and partner closely with clients and stakeholders throughout the full digital product lifecycle — from strategy and design to development, optimisation and support.
The company has a strong Microsoft and Azure focus and works with technologies such as .NET, Azure, React, Angular, Vue.js, React Native, CI/CD, API integrations, cloud-native development, data solutions and AI-driven tooling.
This is a people-focused environment where curiosity, ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement are highly valued.
