Lead Engineer - Plant Design

As a Lead Engineer in the Plant Design department, you independently master different stages of a project. You consult with the group leader or Project Manager about planning, progress, and assignment and design changes. In addition, you will play an active role in a project team together with other engineers and designers. In addition to your technical role, you also have a commercial role:

• You coordinate the preconditions of the assignment with the client;

• You are in regular contact with both the customer and suppliers;

• You are able to define the scope of a customer request and offer support in making a realistic calculation.

• You lead a team of 3 – 10 engineers and take care of the budget allocated to you, the achievement of the set milestones and the quality of the work.

• Experience in engineering and field engineering in the field of 3-D modelling, piping, layouts, P&ID's, etc.

You will work on a variety of projects within different industries and will be involved from the beginning to the end of a project. You will work on concept, basic and detailed engineering in which you apply process safety and process optimization, among other things. You are responsible for delivering projects within the set frameworks. You are also responsible for the control registrations, design verifications and written reports.

• A completed bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Process Engineering

• You are a strong personality and you are customer-oriented

• You know how to translate the customer's wishes into a technical scope including deliverables

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar position in the process industry

• Managerial experience
