As a Lead Development Consultant, you play a key role in delivering intelligent, future-proof SAP solutions for complex environments, including S/4HANA and BTP landscapes.

In this role, you go beyond execution. You combine deep technical expertise with client advisory and team leadership responsibilities.

• You take end responsibility for the technical quality of custom SAP development

• You oversee architecture decisions, coding standards, and delivery within your domain

• You act as a trusted advisor to clients on SAP extensibility

• You mentor and support medior and junior developers

• You contribute to pre-sales activities and proposal development

• You help grow and strengthen the extensibility practice

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or a related field

• At least 10 years of experience as an SAP developer, including time in a senior or lead role

• Strong communication skills, able to engage with both clients and technical teams

• Structured and quality-driven, with a proactive mindset on architecture decisions

• Fluent in English and Afrikaans (written and spoken)

You bring strong SAP development expertise, with ABAP and RAP as your foundation. Experience in integration or CAP is a strong advantage.

Your role:

• Design and build custom applications for SAP environments, from Fiori apps to CAP services on BTP

• Lead ABAP development in S/4HANA projects, including RAP, CDS views, and modern extensibility patterns

• Integrate SAP systems with third-party applications using Integration Suite and BTP middleware

• Work with emerging technologies such as AI-driven development tools

• Ensure quality through code reviews, documentation, and knowledge transfer

• Collaborate closely with functional consultants and solution architects in multidisciplinary teams
