    Electrical Engineering Project Engineer

    This role

    Our client is a leading company in the energy market, specialising in innovative and high-quality energy solutions. They are looking for a driven Project Engineer Electrical Engineering who combines technical expertise with a hands-on mentality and wants to contribute to the energy transition.

    You will work on challenging projects such as battery farms (5MWh–100MWh) and grid congestion solutions involving PV installations, generator sets, BESS, UPS systems, and Energy Management Systems.

    This role covers the full project lifecycle: from customer requirements and technical design to commissioning and delivery. You will develop technical solutions, create engineering documentation, oversee execution on site, and ensure installations perform optimally.

     

    Projects may include:

    • PV installations

    • Generator sets

    • Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)

    • UPS and Energy Management Systems

    • AC/DC cabling installations

    • Transformers and switch/distribution boards

    • Earthing, lightning protection, and equalisation systems

    • Civil works including foundations, concrete elements, fencing, and access systems

    • Security, extinguishing, and safety systems

    • Project management in collaboration with partners and suppliers

     

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Identify customer needs and participate in customer meetings

    • Perform site inspections and electrical measurements

    • Design technical customer solutions

    • Prepare technical drawings and single-line diagrams

    • Draft work plans and project execution plans

    • Review procurement quotations and attend project meetings

    • Coordinate project engineers, subcontractors, and partners on-site

    • Perform quality inspections, commissioning, troubleshooting, and SATs

    • Supervise manufacturer commissioning engineers

    • Complete project documentation and deliver final installations

    Function criteria

    You are technically strong, curious, and motivated to contribute beyond your core responsibilities. You enjoy combining theory with practice, thinking creatively about technical challenges, and delivering high-quality customer solutions from concept to commissioning.

     

    • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar

    • Strong interest in electrical engineering and energy transition projects

    • Experience or affinity with complex energy systems and infrastructure

    • Knowledge of communication protocols such as Modbus and SNMP

    • Hands-on, solution-oriented, and proactive mindset

    • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment

    • Strong communication skills in English

    • Flexible regarding travel and occasional overnight stays
