Software Engineer Industrial Automation

• A completed tertiary qualification in in Electrical Engineering, Control and Automation, Mechatronics or equivalent or a related field.

• Minimum of 2 years work experience as a Software Engineer Industrial Automation. 

• Experience in PLC, HMI, and Motion programming with Mitsubishi (iQ Works), B&R (Automation studio) or Siemens (TIA Portal) is preferred.

• You are flexible. You’re away from home for a longer period on a regular basis, or the client asks you to stay a bit longer: you don't mind!

• You have your own projects and can advise and operate independently in these.

• Knowledge of relevant standards such as machine directive and machine safety.

• Your heart beats faster when thinking of mechatronics and industrial automation, preferably with motion, robotics, and vision.

• Share your experience, knowledge, and insights. We would love to hear them! We do not only optimise with others, but we also like to optimise ourselves.

• Communications (CC-Link, SSCNETIII/H, Profinet, OPC UA, Profibus, Modbus, Powerlink).

• Affinity with programming languages such as C, C++, C#, SQL.

• Good communication skills in both Afrikaans and English.
