    Structural Engineer (Constructeur)

    Senior (5 - 10 yrs)

    This role

    As a structural engineer with our client you will join a dynamic team.

    Some of your responsibilities will include:

    • Advise the team and your client on areas that contribute to high-quality construction such as integration of installation, fire safety, acoustics, circular construction, planning and rely on your colleagues for expertise where needed (there will be support on all these areas).

    • Create designs (using tools such as Revit or other 3D modelling software) .

    • Independently make various constructive calculations in various contract phases (design phase up to and including the detailing phase).

    • Collaborate with BIM modellers and provide them with input.

    • The further development of wood as a circular construction material, in addition to the design and detailing of structures in (prefab) concrete and steel.

    • Provide clear oral and written advice in the form of presentations, calculations, reports, drawings, and models.

    • Conducting consultations, both with your manager and with clients and project partners in the consultancy and construction chain.

    • Testing products from contractors and contractors against the Schedule of Requirements.

    • Advising on construction methods and construction phases.

    Function criteria

    • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or similar

    • You have at least 3 years of structural design experience within an engineering firm or development contracting

    • Knowledge of and experience with modern software/EEM, SCIA Engineer

    • Analytical skills and constructive insight

    • You enjoy analysis and advising on problems and have good written reporting skills.

    • You care about delivering high-quality solutions.

    • You work well in a team but can work independently.

    • You are always looking to grow and learn.

    • You have an eye for opportunities and a passion to explore them.

    • You are passionate about innovation and sustainability (circular design) in your projects.

    • You hold a driving license (B).

    • Good communication skills in both Afrikaans and English.
