Embedded Software Engineer (C++ en Linux)

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team working in Barneveld and together you will work on the development of our client’s egg-sorting and packaging machines. Your Responsibilities

As a software engineer you will be responsible, within the project team and across the department, for developing a vision of future developments and making this a reality. You will also be involved in user story refinement and the preparation of technical, test and functional documentation. As trouble-shooter you will ensure that the developed products are commissioned by the customer. You will analyse technical control problems and come up with creative solutions. You’ll work together with about 100 colleagues, including 30 software engineers, on various projects.

• You will Contribute to the development and maintenance of products within our client’s available department, considering the required specifications, safety and quality.

• You will share knowledge within your software discipline group and contribute to raise the overall level.

• Develop modular, testable, and appropriate solutions within the existing architecture.

• Contribute to the creation and implementation of overall standards and processes.

• You will actively contribute to the software group in terms of collaboration and ownership.

• You have obtained a bachelor’s degree.

• You have experience with embedded Systems, Industrial Automation or Computer Science.

• Minimum of 2 years’ work experience in similar position and experience with C/C++, Object Oriented programming (UML) and working according to the Agile Scrum Process.

• Experience with the following technologies is a plus: JavaScript, REST API, CSS, test automation; unit testing; code coverage; networking experience in Ethernet, Powerlink, or CAN; version management systems (SVN/Git).

• You have a background in Machine Building/Engineering.

• Development in (real time) Linux environments.

• Good command of the English language both verbally and in writing.
