Actuary

We are looking for an enthusiastic actuary with some experience to strengthen our team and further develop our services. We are looking for someone who wants to work on various projects and thus contribute to complex issues, and is able to translate the results of analyses into appropriate advice to our clients. Experience and knowledge in the field of Solvency II and market valuation of technical provisions is an advantage. In terms of personality, we are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, and is therefore able to communicate about actuarial matters at various levels with our clients.

Our client has a team of highly qualified and highly experienced actuaries. They work with the largest insurers in the Netherlands, they are responsible for a variety of projects, such as risk management and product development in the areas of disability, motor vehicles and absenteeism. A great deal of experience has also been built up in the field of internal models, standard models and ORSA reports and adequacy tests of provisions. This broad experience and knowledge of the market, together with the tailor-made approach, make our client the ideal partner

• Completed academic education (Actuarial Sciences or Econometrics). 5 -10 years of work experience as an actuary in the field of non-life and/or income insurance.

• Being able to independently master complex material and come up with solutions for it.

• Converting knowledge into practically usable tools. With a passion for developing risk models and statistical analyses.

• Getting a kick out of making a contribution within a small team in a short period of time, building expertise in a specific area.

• Strong communication skills, collaborative, assertive and results-oriented.

• Efficient and independent working, knowledgeable in the field and quickly deployable at customers' sites.

• Confident, ambitious and interested in customer contact. 

• A team with a good mix of experience and (young) talent. Plenty of room for development.
